Son zamanlarda bir şeyler dikmek için resmen bahaneler arıyorum. Hele ki şu Paypal’ın gitmesiyle ETSY’deki dükkanı kapatman iyice moral bozucu oldu. En azından öyle aman aman bir satış yapmasam da bir amaç oluyordu dikmek ya da örmek için. Dükkana koyarım diyordum ama şimdi pek manasız geliyor öyle ortadan dikivermek.
İşte bu nedenle kim dikişle ilgili bir etkinlik için beni davet ederse hop diye atlıyorum: )
Bu seferki etkinlik “GingercakeHoliday Gifts Sewing Series 2016”. Sevgili Virginia yaklaşık bir ay önce falan bana bir mail gönderdi, bu etkinlikten bahsetti; Onun hazırlamış olduğu ve blogunda sattığı kalıpları kullanarak hediyeler dikeceğiz. Bu hafta benim sıram. Herkes birer tane dikmiş, ben tabi aç göz iki farklı kalıp ile bir defter kabı bir de kuru boya ya da pastel boyaların konulacağı mini bir çanta diktim. Okula yeni başlayan çocuklar için harika bir set. Tam da hediyelik.
Kumaş olarak da Sevgili Sedef’in Riley Blake için tasarladığı ilk kumaş serisi olan Sweet Orchard kullandım. Bir yanım habire dikmek istiyor, bir yanımda kumaşlarım bitiyor diye için için üzülüyor…
Virginia aynı zamanda “Sewing to Sell” isimli kitabın yazarı, blogunda da basit projeler var, özellikle dikişe yeni başlayanlar için ideal. Ben bu tarz projeleri biraz da yeni teknikler öğrenmek, farklı şeyler dikmek için kabul ediyorum. Amaç olmayınca habire yastık dikmekten öteye gidemiyor çünkü insan.

My first projects is “The Notebook Slipcover”. This pattern was easy to follow with excellent step by step instructions and the second, I used "The Mini Crayon Art Folio" pattern. (I couldn't find any crayons at home !!! I used a few Colour Pencils for photo shotting ). Aren't they look so sweet together???
I have used Sweet Orchard fabric serie by Sedef Imer for Riley Blake Fabrics for my gifts. I think, this set will be a great gift for my cousin's daughter.
I have completed my projects in a day. I was glad that Virginia's instructions were very easy to follow. So, bear in mind, it could be a last minute gift!
