Son iki haftam pek de iyi geçmedi. Önümde beni bekleyen sevimsiz bir dönem daha var. Konu sağlık, şimdi buradan uzun uzun anlatacak halim de yok. Umarım kısa sürede yine eski düzenime dönerim.
Büyük ihtimalle
buralarda da pek sesim çıkmaz, gerçi kimsede eski çoşku yok gibi geliyor bana,
ya da bende çoşku kalmadı ondan böyle düşünüyor da olabilirim. Çabuk karar
değiştiren, dönek bir tip olduğumdan iki gün sonra çoşmayacağımın da
garantisini veremiyorum tabi…
Neyse bugün aslında
bu şekilde bir giriş yapmayı hiiiç istemezdim. Çünkü oldukça önem
verdiğim, sevdiğim, hayran olduğum Minki’nin Riley Blake Designs için dizayn ettiği yeni
kumaş serisi Dear Diary’nin blog turunda sıra bende. Öyle bir döneme geldi ki
ne tam olarak istediklerimi dikebildim ne de adam gibi fotoğrafladım. Her şey
aceleye geldi. İnşallah ileriki aylarda bunun acısını çıkartır, bu harika
kumaşlarla zevkle cici cici şeyler dikerim.
Minki’yi artık size
anlatmaya gerek yok sanırım. Benim bu blog aleminde tanıdığım en yetenekli, en
düşünceli, en tatlı kişilerden biri. Eskiden mektup arkadaşları vardı ya işte
onlar gibi benim de farklı ülkelerden birkaç tane blog arkadaşım var, arada
maillerle dertleştiğimiz, uzun uzun hal hatır sorduğumuz, özel hayatlarımızı
paylaştığımız… İşte Minki onlardan biri ve onunla tanıştığım için kendimi çok
şanslı hissediyorum.
Minki’nin blogunu,
harika kalıplarını alabileceğiniz sitesini mutlaka ziyaret edin. Benim çok
sevdiğim, Sevgili Kristin ile birlikte çıkarttıkları ilk kitapları da burada.

I think the most
beautiful thing in my last 2-3 weeks was to spend time with these fabulous
fabrics.
I have some health
problems and it seems that I have to deal with these problems for a while.
But today I want to
talk about only good things.
Welcome to my stop on
Dear Diary Showcase. Today I get to share with you what I made as part of this
amazing blog tour. You can guess, how I am excited.
Dear Diary fabric is
the debut collection by Minki Kim for Riley Blake Designs and I think this line
will be get huge success. I'm officially in love.
I am sure that most of you already know sweet
Minki. I love so much her style and personality... She is so talented that I
admire her much more every passing day. She has a unique style and eye. If you
visit her lovely blog, you will see what I'm talking about. You should also
look at her online shop ; Sewing Illustration.
And an amazing book
which is called "Sew Illustrated"
by the talented duo Minki and
Kristin for C&T Publishing. It is one of my favorite sewing book.
Dear Diary is a
cheerful collection which is filled 21 prints and beautiful illustrations. It
is also perfect for fussy cutting.
I made a few pretty
things with Dear Diary fabrics as you see here. (Actually I want to make many
cute things with them as soon as get rid of those unpleasant health problems.)
My first project is a
placemat. I love to make english paper piecing especially diamond pattern is my
favorite. I think this collection is perfect for epp isn't it?
I added also two
simple coasters and I am planing to sew more coasters :)
My second project is
a clutch. I liked the harmony of patterns and colors very much. I will use it
the next summer with a jean and white t-shirt.
And a simple cushion.
I used Anna Joyce's pattern. I wish I made the size a little bigger. I will
re-sew it I gues... (It takes almost half hour)
My last project is a
Baby Pinafore Top. I love this pattern so much. You can find it here.
I want to sew a few
projects also from my book (Made for Baby Cute Sewn Gifts) with rest of these
sweet fabrics. Especially "Home Wall Hanging" can be perfect with
this collection. We will see...
